Iconoclastic Rock icon Debbie Harry narrates this fascinating and prescient deep-dive into the world of Cyberpunk cinema, probing the interwoven relationships between cinema, humanity and technology.

Technology’s evolution has long been a thematic core in cinema, exploring the near endless possibilities of digital advance and the existential numbness of our potential loss of control, with ongoing zeal and dread. Within the framework of a long-form video essay, Amanda Kramer (Give Me Pity!, Please, Baby, Please) draws on scenes from both canonical and lesser-known films made between 1981–2001, to extrapolate, explore and deconstruct these themes. Masterfully edited by Benjamin Shearn, impressively researched and replete with nostalgic neon graphics, this entrancing project, narrated by Blondie (and Videodrome)'s Debbie Harry, is a psychedelic trip through cinematic space, time and memory.

"...a remarkable philosophical visual essay which delves deep into the psychology of cinema and audiences." - Nadine Whitney, AWFJ
